Welcome to Finding Your Academic Voice!
This blog is an online, public extension of an English Composition course that I teach at a local college. Here my students can engage with their peers in what's often a new-to-them genre of writing (blogging).
As the hub for a five-week assignment, this blog connects my students to their peers' blogs. I also write posts here that help them navigate the complexities of college-level research and writing.
Through their own blogging, my students will pick a personally relevant topic and then through rigorous research, will add their own voice to the conversation. I invite you to peruse the blogs linked on my home page, and I especially encourage you to comment on their posts. Your comments could be an invaluable learning tool for these novice researchers!
